Israel: Bombards military bases and weapon production units in Tehran
Israel has targeted military installations and intelligence infrastructures in Tehran as part of a broader strategy to weaken the Iranian regime.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have carried out extensive airstrikes on military facilities and intelligence service infrastructures in Tehran. According to their announcements, these attacks are part of a strategic initiative for a "deeper weakening" of the core mechanisms of the Iranian regime, aiming to disrupt key military capabilities. The Israeli military asserts that the strikes were aimed at critical strategic targets in the Iranian capital, marking a significant escalation in their operations against Tehran. The Israeli air force reportedly hit multiple sites in the Iranian capital, including an Iranian military training base that housed anti-aircraft missile storages, facilities for weapon production and storage belonging to Iranβs Defense Ministry, and production units for weapon systems of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Furthermore, Iranian Ministry of Intelligence headquarters and the central command base of Khatam al-Anbiya were also struck, emphasizing Israel's focus on crippling Iran's military infrastructure significantly and targeting areas deemed vital for Iran's defense and intelligence operations. These developments highlight the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, particularly in light of ongoing regional conflicts and Iran's military capabilities. The strikes represent a continuation of Israel's doctrine of preemptive action against threats it perceives from the Iranian regime, raising concerns about potential retaliatory actions from Tehran and further regional destabilization as a result of these aggressive military tactics.
