Israel strikes Iran's presidential office and other key command buildings in central Tehran

The Israeli Defense Forces have conducted strikes on Iran's key leadership compound and other infrastructures in Tehran, following a period of intelligence gathering.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on their Telegram and X accounts that they launched extensive strikes on important Iranian leadership buildings in Tehran, utilizing a significant amount of munitions. Among the targets was the highly secured compound that houses the Iranian regime’s senior officials and is known for hosting gatherings where major decisions regarding Iran’s nuclear program and actions against Israel are deliberated. This compound, located on multiple streets in central Tehran, has been acknowledged as one of the most fortified sites in Iran.

The IDF described the significance of this military operation as a strategic move to undermine the Iranian regime’s leadership capabilities. They highlighted that top security officials frequently gathered at this complex, where crucial plans concerning Iran's nuclear ambitions and threats towards Israel were orchestrated. The operation, occurring after a considerable duration of intelligence analysis, was positioned as a necessary action to disrupt the actions of the Iranian regime, which poses a direct threat to Israel’s national security.

This strike indicates escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, particularly regarding Iran's nuclear program and perceived hostility towards the Israeli state. As Israel continues to assert its military capabilities and targets vital elements of the Iranian infrastructure, it raises concerns over potential retaliatory actions from Iran, further heightening the volatility in the region.
