Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE Announce Interception of Iranian Missiles and Drones

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE report successful interception and destruction of Iranian missiles and drones targeting their territories.

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have announced the successful interception and destruction of various Iranian missiles and drones that have been targeting their nations. The Bahrain Defence Force reported that since the beginning of Iranian attacks on February 28, they have intercepted a total of 145 missiles and 246 drones. They emphasized that these attacks represent a severe violation of international humanitarian law and called on citizens to avoid areas affected by the attacks and to refrain from spreading rumors or photographing debris.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defence confirmed that their defense systems intercepted and destroyed nine drones in the eastern region of the country, and they tracked the launch of three ballistic missiles aimed at Riyadh. One of these missiles was intercepted, while the other two landed in unpopulated areas. An early warning was issued in the Al-Kharj governorate to alert residents of the dangers posed by the attacks.

The UAE also reported on its defensive measures related to the Iranian threats, reinforcing the collective security arrangement among these Gulf nations. The coordination and successful interceptions underline the ongoing tensions in the region, particularly concerning Iran's missile capabilities and the regional response to perceived threats. This incident highlights the need for robust defense measures and international dialogue to address escalating conflicts in the Middle East.
