Elections Would Be Won by ANO Now, but the Order of Other Parties Has Changed

The latest poll indicates that the ruling ANO movement would win the elections in March, with other party positions shifting.

According to a recent poll conducted by the STEM agency for CNN Prima News, the ruling ANO movement is projected to secure 34.2% of the vote in the upcoming elections in March. Following ANO, the STAN party would gain significant ground with a forecasted 13.3%, surpassing the ODS party, which is expected to receive 12.2% of the votes. This poll reflects a change in the political landscape, highlighting the shifting allegiances among voters since previous polls.

Additionally, the Pirates Party and the SPD, both part of the current coalition government led by Andrej Babiš of the ANO movement, would also secure seats in the lower chamber of parliament. The Pirates are predicted to receive 8.1% of the votes, while the SPD would follow closely with 7.1%. On the other hand, the governing Motoristé party is projected to fall short of the necessary 5% threshold to enter the parliament, indicating a potential struggle for this coalition partner in maintaining its influence.

Other parties featured in the poll demonstrate a broader trend of fluctuating voter support, with new movements like Naše Česko, led by South Bohemia Governor Martin Kuba, attracting about 3.7% of the votes. Meanwhile, traditional parties such as TOP 09, the Greens, and the People's Party are struggling with low projected support percentages ranging from around 2.4% to 3%. The continuous changes in voter preferences reflect a dynamic political climate in Czechia as multiple factors influence public opinion ahead of the elections.
