During a large emigration fair held in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Elise Ryder Wikén, the head of community development in Härjedalen, shared insights into the growing interest in relocating to the northern regions of Sweden. Each year, approximately 150,000 to 200,000 people emigrate from the Netherlands, and Härjedalen has made efforts to attract some of these individuals by participating in the fair since 2010, which has resulted in an influx of new residents. The calls for smooth relocation from these regions highlight a unique blend of nature, affordable housing options, and the tranquillity that Sweden's northern landscapes offer.
