Final between ABC and América-RN alters traffic in Natal; see changes

Traffic adjustments have been made in Natal for the upcoming finals of the Campeonato Potiguar between ABC and América-RN, scheduled to take place on Saturday.

The Urban Mobility Secretariat of Natal has implemented a special traffic operation for the final match of the Campeonato Potiguar 2026, featuring local teams ABC and América-RN, which is set to take place on Saturday, at 4 PM, at Arena das Dunas in Natal. This operation is designed to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow around the stadium, anticipating a large turnout for the game.

Traffic interventions will commence at 2 PM, with several key areas being blocked off to facilitate the influx of spectators. Notable restrictions include the tunnel on Avenida Romualdo Galvão, making it inaccessible to the Avenida Lima e Silva, the connecting ramp between Ave. Lima e Silva and Prudente de Morais, and the stay cable bridge towards BR-101. These measures aim to prevent congestion and enhance safety for everyone traveling to the event.

According to the Traffic Management Agency (STTU), mobility agents will be stationed throughout the affected areas to direct motorists and pedestrians, as well as to manage vehicle flow during the arrival and departure of fans. The operation was coordinated alongside public safety and transportation authorities, reflecting a comprehensive approach to handling the expected high volume of traffic due to the sporting event.
