RFS Footballers Achieve Third Consecutive Victory
RFS secured their third consecutive win in the Latvian Football Higher League, defeating Daugavpils 4-1 at home.
On Saturday, RFS continued their impressive run in the 'Tonybet' Latvian Football Higher League, achieving a third straight victory without any dropped points. They played against Daugavpils at home and won decisively with a scoreline of 4-1. The match saw RFS take an early lead in the 19th minute through Cedric Kuadio, but Daugavpils equalized during stoppage time of the first half with a goal from Elaidža Adai.
In the second half, RFS quickly regained control when Janis Ikaunieks capitalized on a rebound and assisted Darko Lemajič, who then scored to make it 2-1. The match progressed with RFS dominating play, as Stefan Paničs scored to double their lead. Just five minutes before full-time, Lemajič found the net again, sealing the victory for RFS, who had previously defeated Daugavpils in all four encounters last season, amassing a total of 19 goals against them.
