New poll: High trust in Crown Prince Haakon
A new poll indicates that nearly 80% of Norwegians believe Crown Prince Haakon will perform well as a monarch.
A recent poll conducted by InFact for Nettavisen shows significant public support for Crown Prince Haakon, with nearly 80% of respondents expressing confidence that he would perform well in his future role as king. The poll, conducted on March 20, coincided with the release of an in-depth interview with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit on NRK, where the Crown Princess discussed her past connection with Jeffrey Epstein.
The survey results reveal that 58% of participants believe Crown Prince Haakon will function very well as king, while an additional 20.4% think he will do quite well. Only a small percentage of respondents—4.1% and 3.6% respectively—feel he will perform poorly or very poorly in the role, with 10.1% believing he would not be effective either way. A further 3.8% of those surveyed were uncertain about their opinion.
This strong public confidence in Crown Prince Haakon comes at a critical time for the Norwegian monarchy, as it faces modern challenges and scrutiny. The favorable perception highlights a continued support for the royal family among the Norwegian populace, suggesting that Crown Prince Haakon’s upcoming ascension may be met with enthusiasm rather than skepticism.
