A tragic avalanche occurred in the Upper Adige region of northern Italy, burying a group of about twenty skiers. Local authorities reported that two people lost their lives while five others sustained serious injuries, and one skier remains missing. The group was equipped with geolocation devices that facilitated their quicker rescue after the incident.
