Três Rios receives new school bus as part of the Novo PAC initiative
The municipality of Três Rios in Brazil has received a new school bus aimed at enhancing student access to education, amid a nationwide distribution of new vehicles by the federal government.
In a ceremony held in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais, the Brazilian Federal Government continued its implementation of the Novo PAC initiative by launching the distribution of new school buses under the Programa Caminho da Escola. This event saw attendance from 30 mayors, including Jonas Dico, the mayor of Três Rios, Rio de Janeiro. The program aims to improve and expand access for children in basic education to their schools across the country.
Três Rios has been allocated a new school bus, marking the fourth vehicle acquired by the municipal government under this educational initiative. The additional bus will enhance the school transport fleet serving the district of Bemposta, thereby ensuring that more students can commute to their educational institutions safely and efficiently. This move reflects the government's ongoing commitment to bolster educational infrastructure in Brazilian municipalities.
The introduction of these new school buses is part of a broader strategy to modernize public education transport across Brazil. As education continues to be prioritized by the federal government, the program contributes not only to quality of transportation but also to the overall goal of improving educational outcomes by ensuring that all students have reliable access to schooling facilities.
