In a tragic incident, three additional missing persons were discovered at the site of a fire at a Daejeon automotive parts manufacturing plant, confirmed to be in cardiac arrest. This raises the total number of fatalities from the fire to 14. According to firefighting authorities, all three were found during ongoing search efforts at the scene of the fire that broke out on the afternoon of the 20th. They were located on the second floor of the building, which had collapsed due to the blaze. Prior to this, nine bodies had already been recovered from the same second-floor area, specifically from near a gym window. The confirmation of their deaths indicates a grim outcome for those previously reported missing following the fire. As of now, the fire has resulted in 14 fatalities, and a total of 60 individuals sustained injuries in various capacities, with 25 classified as serious injuries and 35 as minor injuries. Those injured are currently receiving treatment at three different hospitals, and the fire has also caused injuries to two firefighters on the scene. The incident underlines the significant risks associated with industrial fires and the tragic consequences they can have on workers and their families.
