‘A big oath in 2027...’ Akhilesh Yadav gives a big message on the occasion of Eid

On Eid, Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP and government of Uttar Pradesh while wishing citizens peace amid global tensions.

Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, expressed his Eid greetings to the citizens of India, emphasizing the need to end war and tension in the world for lasting peace. However, he utilized the occasion to strongly criticize the ruling BJP and the Uttar Pradesh government, highlighting several instances of deteriorating law and order in the state. He specifically mentioned incidents in Mathura, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur that exemplify the growing insecurity under the current administration.

Yadav described the treatment of a sadhu (a Hindu ascetic) in Mathura as tragic and shameful, showcasing the adverse social climate in UP. He referenced the alarming shooting of a student in Varanasi, a city represented by Prime Minister Modi, and pointed out that similar incidents have occurred even in Gorakhpur, seen as a stronghold for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Yadav urged that if places central to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister face such lawlessness, it raises serious concerns about the safety of the rest of Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, Yadav echoed sentiments expressed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who labeled the BJP as 'dishonest.' He implied that harsher words are warranted for the BJP’s actions. Yadav's critical commentary reflects the growing political tensions in Uttar Pradesh as the 2027 elections approach, and his stance signifies an ongoing effort to consolidate opposition against the ruling party ahead of future electoral battles.
