Hajduk speaks out: A new stadium is the only acceptable solution

HNK Hajduk Split has publicly addressed the urgent need for clear information regarding the infrastructure future of the club and the management of its stadium, Poljud.

HNK Hajduk Split released a statement on social media discussing the significant public interest in the club's infrastructural future, especially concerning the Poljud Stadium, which is currently under the management of the City of Split. The club expressed its obligation to provide transparent and accurate information amidst various claims and inaccuracies circulating in the media. Acknowledging the community's concern, Hajduk emphasized the necessity for reliable information about the stadium's condition and the management processes involved.

The statement highlighted that the Poljud Stadium, owned by the City of Split, is under the local government’s responsibility for maintaining the stadium’s infrastructure, including essential construction efforts and repairs. Hajduk is keen to clarify that while the Croatian Government allocated €2 million for repairs due to storm damage in 2025, only around €300,000 has been dispensed thus far, creating confusion about the funding and management efficiency.

Hajduk's call for a new stadium was framed as the only viable solution to ensure the club's future and competitive standing. The announcement invites further dialogue and engagement with fans and stakeholders, indicating a shift towards openness and active collaboration to address the pressing infrastructure challenges that face the football club and its facilities.
