HUB will carry out more than 800 procedures in a health event focused on women this Saturday
The Hospital Universitário de Brasília is set to conduct over 800 health procedures for women in a special event this Saturday as part of a national health initiative.
The Hospital Universitário de Brasília (HUB-UnB) is organizing a health outreach event for women, scheduled for this Saturday at 8:30 AM. This initiative aims to provide over 800 medical procedures to women, targeting those already on waiting lists within Brazil’s public health system, the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). This effort is part of the 'Dia E - Ebserh em Ação' program, which is designed to enhance healthcare access and alleviate pressure on public health services.
The services offered during this event include essential health screenings and examinations such as preventive tests, mammograms, bone densitometry, and various types of minor surgeries. Additionally, specialized consultations in fields such as coloproctology, audiology, and oncology will be available. Such initiatives are vital as they not only cater to immediate healthcare needs but also contribute to raising awareness around women's health issues and improving early diagnosis rates for serious health conditions.
Coordinated by the Brazilian Hospital Services Company (Ebserh) and aligning with the Ministry of Health's agenda, this health day exemplifies efforts to ensure that women have greater access to necessary health services. By focusing on preventive care and early intervention, the program aims to reduce health disparities and ensure that women in need receive timely medical attention, thus enhancing the overall efficiency of the SUS and its capacity to serve the population effectively.
