Gulf Defenses Face New Wave of Iranian Attacks
Gulf states are facing increased Iranian missile and drone attacks amid escalating tensions as the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran enters its third week.
The region is experiencing heightened tensions as Iranian forces escalate their missile and drone attacks across multiple countries, including members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Iraq. This surge in attacks coincides with the ongoing U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, now in its third week, raising concerns over regional stability.
On Friday, Saudi Arabia reported the interception and destruction of four drones in the Eastern Province, emphasizing their military readiness to address similar threats. Concurrently, Iraqi security sources indicated that drones targeted the logistics support base near Baghdad International Airport, as well as an American diplomatic facility, marking a significant uptick in Iranian aggression within the country.
Additionally, the United Arab Emirates' internal ministry confirmed that its air defense systems successfully repelled missile attacks originating from Iran earlier today. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility for these strikes, reinforcing its strategic posture in the region amidst the ongoing conflict with Israeli and American forces.
