In a tragic incident in Governador Valadares, Brazil, a 15-year-old pregnant girl was assaulted by her 16-year-old boyfriend after a heated argument triggered by jealousy. According to the Military Police, the violence escalated during the argument when the boyfriend accused the girl of infidelity. The situation rapidly turned physical as he began to hit her with punches and kicks before using an electric cable to strike her on the leg, resulting in visible injuries and bleeding.
The teenager was able to escape and sought help, where she was later found frightened on the street accompanied by her mother. Although the situation was grave, the responsible adult declined medical assistance at the scene, showcasing a potential underlying issue regarding access to support services. Authorities have since advised the victim to report the incident to the Special Police Station for Women (Deam) to pursue legal actions against the assailant.
