Car loses control, hits and knocks down storefront of paint store in Mogi das Cruzes
A car lost control and crashed into the facade of a paint store in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, resulting in significant damage but no injuries.
A car lost control on Avenida Francisco Rodrigues Filho in the Mogilar neighborhood of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, early on Friday morning, causing extensive damage to the facade of a local paint store. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM when the vehicle emerged from the Engenheiro Osvaldo Crespo de Abreu underground passage, veering into oncoming traffic. After colliding with parked vehicles in front of a truck parts store, the car returned to the avenue before crashing into a metal support beam of the paint store, ultimately demolishing part of its facade.
Fortunately, employees of the light company reported that no one was injured during the crash. However, the store's manager assessed that the damage to both stock and the metal structure would amount to an estimated R$ 70,000, highlighting the fiscal repercussions of the incident for the business. This situation brings to light concerns about traffic safety in the area, especially regarding vehicles emerging from underpasses and navigating busy streets.
The local media outlet, G1, has reached out to the municipal authorities and the Secretary of Public Safety of the State of SΓ£o Paulo for further information regarding the incident, yet no response has been received at the time of the report's last update. This lack of communication underscores a potential gap in response protocols for addressing public incidents, which local residents might be particularly concerned about in terms of overall community safety and traffic regulations.
