Liepaja's Public Transport Fully Switches to Electronic Tickets

Liepaja has transitioned to an electronic ticket system for public transportation, enhancing convenience for passengers, especially those benefiting from state subsidies.

As of October 23, 2024, Liepaja has fully implemented an electronic ticketing system for its public transportation. The initiative, which cost the municipal transport company approximately €339,000, aims to simplify the process for passengers, particularly those receiving state benefits who previously had to present proof of entitlement to the driver before boarding.
