A recent poll conducted by Respons Analyse for VG and Aftenposten indicates that almost 50% of respondents believe Crown Princess Mette-Marit should not ascend to the throne of Norway. This survey was undertaken following Mette-Marit’s first interview where she discussed her interactions with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. The Royal Palace had previously announced that the Crown Princess would provide an extensive explanation of her contacts within six weeks prior to the interview.
