Man arrested with R$ 357 thousand, base paste of cocaine and marijuana in Catanduva

A man was arrested in Catanduva, Brazil, for drug trafficking after police found R$ 357,525 in cash and illegal drugs including two kilograms of base paste cocaine and one kilogram of marijuana.

On Thursday, November 19, in Catanduva, São Paulo, the Military Police apprehended a suspect involved in drug trafficking. During a routine stop, police officers from the Tactical Force identified the man acting suspiciously, leading to a search that uncovered a significant quantity of drugs and cash. The police reported the seizure of approximately two kilograms of base paste cocaine, over one kilogram of marijuana, and a substantial sum of R$ 357,525 in various denominations.

In addition to the drugs and money, officers discovered a .380 caliber pistol with ten rounds of ammunition and three precision scales, commonly used for weighing drugs. These findings highlighted the seriousness of the situation and underlined the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region. The materials and evidence collected were taken to the Catanduva Central Flag, where the suspect was formally charged with drug trafficking.
