The Environmental Military Police of Mato Grosso (MT) launched an operation on Thursday, targeting a property engaged in illegal deforestation in the cerrado area near the rural zone of Cuiabá. This operation was initiated in response to satellite alerts indicating suspicious activities along the MT-251 highway, leading towards the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães. Upon arrival at the site, officers discovered significant vegetation clearance without any registered Environmental Rural Registration (Cadastro Ambiental Rural - CAR).
