They faced the duo of Katerina Diatlova from Ukraine and Sarafina Olivia Hansen from Denmark, winning the match with a score of 6-4, 5-7, 10-8. The match was marked by a significant comeback attempt by their opponents, as Roots and Kashyap failed to convert four match points and lost a 5-3 lead in the second set. However, they regrouped for the decisive tiebreaker, starting strong and maintaining their lead to ultimately secure the victory on their fifth match point.
In the semifinals, Kashyap/Roots will go up against another formidable team, consisting of Madhurima Sawant from India and Shiyu Ye from China. The tournament in Sharm El Sheikh has encountered delays due to rain, affecting the scheduling of the matches, with the doubles final now expected to take place on Sunday.
