An incident involving mutual allegations of assault between a doctor and a patient occurred at the Hospital da Primavera in Teresina on Thursday, the 19th. The police were called to the scene, where both parties were taken to the Central de Flagrantes to give statements regarding the accusations. The investigation is currently being handled by the Civil Police of Maranhao.

The Municipal Health Foundation (FMS) of Teresina has also launched an inquiry into the matter, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring that aggressive behavior and disrespect are not tolerated in their facilities. They stated that both the doctor and patient are undergoing an investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding the episode, highlighting their intention to deliver justice to all parties involved.
