Filipe Marcos da Silva, a resident of the Cidade Jardim neighborhood in Teresina, Brazil, was killed in the early hours of Friday, October 20, in a violent shooting incident where he was hit by at least fifteen bullets. This unfortunate event comes just two days after another homicide in the same area, where a homeless man was found dead with bullet wounds. The community is shaken, with rising concerns about public safety in the East Zone of the city.

According to police reports, five of the shots struck Filipe's head, while nine hit his leg, and one was in the chest. The police responded to the scene following reports from residents who heard gunshots near the location. Upon arrival, they found Filipe in the family’s backyard, where a relative informed them of the shooting. Initial investigations indicate that a suspect broke into the home and opened fire on Filipe, although the suspect remains unidentified at this time.

The case is currently being investigated by the Homicide and Person Protection Department (DHPP), raising questions about the increasing violence in the region. Local authorities are under pressure to provide answers and enhance security measures to prevent further incidents, especially given the alarming trend of violence witnessed in just a short period.
