On the night of Wednesday, October 18, a homeless man, whose identity has yet to be established by authorities, was fatally shot in the Cidade Jardim neighborhood of Teresina's East Zone. The news was confirmed by the 5th Battalion of the Military Police (BPM), who responded to the incident. Upon arrival, police found the victim already deceased at the scene, prompting them to secure the area and initiate an investigation.

The Military Police have cordoned off the crime scene and have involved other agencies, including the Legal Medicine Institute, criminal experts, and the Civil Police, to assist with the case. However, the investigation faces challenges as no witnesses at the scene were willing to provide information to the police regarding the incident.
