Ghana: AIB Commissions Team to Investigate Aircraft Accident
The AIB Ghana has formed a team to investigate a recent aircraft accident in Tema, aiming to determine its cause and prevent future incidents.
A three-member investigation team has been commissioned by the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB Ghana) to probe an aircraft accident that occurred in Tema on Monday. Led by Captain Paul Forjoe, the teamโs primary objective will be to ascertain the cause of the incident and propose measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future. The accident involved a 3I Sky Arrows light aircraft with registration number 9G-ADV, which was flying from Ho to Accra when it met with trouble.
In a press conference held in Accra, John Wumborti, the Commissioner of AIB Ghana, emphasized the Bureau's swift response following the incident's initial reports, which allowed them to begin preliminary investigations immediately. This efficient reaction highlights the importance placed on aviation safety and the critical role of thorough investigations in maintaining standards and public confidence in air travel.
