During this short moment of inattention, a man jumped into the vehicle and sped off, taking the mother’s car along with her 2-month-old baby. The scenario quickly escalated as the mother frantically contacted the police, initiating an urgent search in the vicinity of the theft.

Thanks to the swift action of the Polícia Militar, the stolen vehicle was located just 2.7 kilometers from where it was taken, with the baby still safely inside the car. Authorities apprehended a suspect on the scene—a 26-year-old man, who was caught in the act. Following the recovery of the child, the police transported the baby to the Pronto-Socorro de Pirituba for precautionary checks.
