The Madrid City Council has officially released its agenda for Holy Week, emphasizing the importance of the celebration in terms of cultural heritage and tourism. Mayor José Luis Martínez Almeida stated that they seek to designate it as a Regional Tourist Interest Festival, highlighting the event's rich historical, cultural, and culinary appeal. To promote the celebrations, the city council will distribute 80,000 copies of the official program, which is double the number printed last year. Additionally, since March 1, a national promotional campaign has been underway to further spread awareness about the festivities and encourage attendance.
