BTS Leader RM Injures Ankle During Performance Rehearsal... "Some Performances Limited"
BTS leader RM has suffered an ankle injury two days before the group's comeback concert in Gwanghwamun, which will limit some of his performance capabilities.
On March 19, two days before BTS's comeback concert in Gwanghwamun, the group's leader RM sustained an ankle injury during rehearsal. Big Hit Music announced on March 20 that RM was taken to the hospital for a detailed examination, which revealed injuries including a ligament sprain and partial ligament tears, along with a bone bruise. Medical professionals advised that RM should wear a cast and minimize movement for at least two weeks to ensure a full recovery, which has resulted in some limitations on his stage performance.
Big Hit explained that while RM was eager to deliver a high-quality performance given the significance of the venue, the decision to restrict his movements was made jointly by the artist and the management to prioritize health and prevent further injury. The company requested understanding from fans regarding the necessary adjustments to RM’s performance at the upcoming event. Big Hit emphasized their commitment to supporting RM's health and recovery so that he can return to the stage in full capacity.
BTS is set to hold a free comeback performance titled 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG' on March 21 at 8 PM in Gwanghwamun Square, making it a highly anticipated event despite the adjustments needed for RM's participation due to his injury.
