A significant fire broke out at a factory in Munpyeong-dong, Daejeon, on the afternoon of the 20th, leaving over 50 people injured. The police reported that the blaze originated from a company manufacturing automotive parts, and most injuries were due to smoke inhalation. Among those injured, 35 were classified as seriously hurt, with some employees reportedly leaping from the second and third floors of the four-story building to avoid the flames, sustaining fractures in the process.

The Daejeon Fire Department commented that their personnel were still assessing the situation and confirmed that people inside the factory attempted to escape the fire by jumping, indicating a dire scenario.
