BTS Comeback: 'Purple Again'... Seoul Welcomes Global ARMY
Seoul is preparing a vibrant welcome for global BTS fans ahead of the band's comeback concert on December 21, featuring government-backed campaigns and various events in the city.
Ahead of BTS's much-anticipated comeback concert in Gwanghwamun Square on December 21, the South Korean government and various industries including retail and hospitality have launched diverse welcoming campaigns aimed at the global ARMY community. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Korea Tourism Organization, are promoting Korean tourism through outdoor screens in Gwanghwamun and have hung a giant welcoming banner at the Government Seoul Complex. Moreover, a series of events at the 'Hiker Ground,' a tourism promotion center near Gwanghwamun, feature drink discounts and dance and singing competitions starting December 18.
On the day of the concert, fans will have access to enhanced conveniences and entertainment nearby, with a promotional booth set up by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Korea Creative Content Agency near exit 6 of Gwanghwamun Station. This initiative will provide fans with important information about K-content and travel while offering souvenirs. Hiker Ground will extend its hours until midnight from concert day, providing essential services such as restrooms, mobile charging stations, and free Wi-Fi, creating a fan-friendly environment.
The excitement from the offline event will also be mirrored online through platforms like 'VisitKorea,' which will focus on attractions near the concert venue and music video filming locations. Furthermore, discounts on tourism and experiential products will be offered through 'NOL World,' a platform for foreigners. The Korea Tourism Organization is using its overseas social media channels to distribute card news, offering essential information regarding entry procedures, concert details, payment methods, and transportation for international tourists. The streets of Seoul will be adorned in purple, BTS's symbolic color, creating a festive atmosphere for ARMY members.
