Ganga Iftar Case: BJYM Leader Receives Death Threat

A leader of the BJP's youth wing has received death threats following the arrest of Muslim youths who hosted an Iftar party in Varanasi.

In a concerning development from Varanasi, 14 Muslim youths were recently arrested for celebrating Iftar on the banks of the Ganga River during Ramadan, with accusations that they also threw bones into the river. This led to police action, and all youths were presented before ACJM 9, Amit Kumar Yadav, where they were placed in judicial custody for 14 days due to the serious nature of their offenses, which included threats to the boat operators involved. Meanwhile, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party's youth wing, who filed the complaint, has reportedly received death threats, prompting further complaints to the police from him and others, including local Hindu leaders and boat operators.
