In a recent interview, Pichot emphasized that their intent to present a bid signifies a belief in their chances of success, stating, "If there wasn't a chance, we wouldn't have presented ourselves." The initiative sees the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) leading a project backed by Sudamérica Rugby, which aims to enhance the profile of rugby in the region through this major event.
