Pärnu starts the semi-final series with a victory over Võru Barrus

Pärnu Volleyball Club won the first match of the Estonian championship semi-final series against Võru Barrus with a score of 3-0.

In the opening match of the Estonian championship semi-final series, Pärnu Volleyball Club defeated Võru Barrus with a commanding 3-0 victory on home turf. Pärnu showcased their dominance by winning the first game 25-14, the second game 25-20, and the tightly contested third game 28-26. Daniel Alejandro Pita led the scoring for Pärnu with 15 points, supported by Toms Švans and Sten Perillus, who contributed 13 and 12 points respectively. The team's overall performance included a reception rate of 58% and an attack rate of 49%, along with 12 points from blocks and 8 points from serves, despite having 11 serving errors.

Pärnu’s head coach Rainer Vassiljev expressed confidence in his team's readiness for the challenge ahead, stating that their training sessions had been productive, allowing them to prepare adequately as they approach the final stages of the season. He noted the positive state of the players in practice and the team's effort in both ball-handling and gym training since the previous weekend’s rest.

Vassiljev further emphasized the familiarity the team has with their opponents, understanding their leaders and strengths going into the playoffs.
