This alert, which is effective for the entire day, indicates potential rainfall of 30 to 60 mm per hour and total daily rainfall of 50 to 100 mm. Wind gusts are also expected to range from 60 to 100 km/h, creating hazardous conditions that may lead to electrical outages, falling branches, flooding, and lightning strikes.

In light of the impending weather conditions, Inmet has provided safety guidelines to mitigate risks. Residents are urged not to seek shelter under trees during strong winds and to avoid parking vehicles near transmission towers and advertisement boards. Additionally, people are advised to disconnect electrical appliances and the main power supply whenever possible to prevent damage during potential electrical surges.

The warning encompasses not only the capital and the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte but extends to a vast array of areas across various regions of Minas Gerais including Triângulo Mineiro, Alto Paranaíba, Central, Zona da Mata, Vale do Rio Doce, Oeste, Sul/Sudoeste, Campo das Vertentes, Jequitinhonha, and Vale do Mucuri.
