Authorities in Katerini, Greece, have successfully uncovered a complicated case of telephone fraud that took place on February 20, 2026. The perpetrator, posing as an employee of the local electricity company, targeted a woman by claiming there was a power leak in her home. To protect her valuables, he convinced her to wrap her cash and jewelry in aluminum foil and leave it on a wooden table, which ultimately facilitated the robbery.
