A recent survey indicates that a majority of clients for construction work do not put their agreements with builders in writing, increasing the risk of disputes and losses.
A new survey conducted by Hange.ee reveals concerning trends in the contracting behavior of Estonian construction project clients. The results show that only 17% of respondents always sign written contracts with builders, while 24% do so only for larger projects. Alarmingly, 30% of those surveyed have never signed a written agreement with a builder or remodeling company, and 19% indicated that although they haven't signed a contract, they have thought that it would be prudent to do so.
