On March 19, around 5 PM, a serious traffic accident occurred on the road between Šilutė and Jurbarkas near the village of Juknaičiai. Initial reports indicated that a man driving a Volvo suddenly veered into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a Suzuki Vitara driven by a woman. The driver of the Volvo later claimed that he experienced a sudden health issue, which caused him to cross into the opposite lane.
