Three cars collided in Vilnius, among the injured are police officers
A traffic accident involving three vehicles in Vilnius resulted in injuries to two police officers and two civilians.
On Saturday at approximately 12:40 PM in Vilnius on Gariūnų Street, a traffic accident occurred when a VW Polo, driven by a 25-year-old man, collided with a stationary unmarked police car. At the time of the incident, officers were detaining a person for an administrative offense and were filling out a report. Following the initial collision, the police vehicle crashed into a previously stopped Mercedes Benz, exacerbating the situation.
The accident involved damage to all vehicles involved, specifically affecting the police officers aged 28 and 26, along with the driver of the VW Polo and his passenger, a 62-year-old woman. Emergency medical assistance was provided at the scene, and all injured individuals were subsequently transported to the hospital, where they received treatment before being discharged for further outpatient care.
