Hellenic Bank Association: The class that emerged victorious in the National Knowledge Contest for Money
The 9th National Knowledge Contest for Money in Greece, organized by the Hellenic Bank Association, concluded with Class A3 from the General Lyceum of Mygdonia winning the competition.
The 9th National Knowledge Contest for Money, known as the "European Money Quiz," recently concluded in Greece with participation from 1,881 students across the country. The event, organized by the Hellenic Bank Association, saw Class A3 from the General Lyceum of Mygdonia in the region of Thessaloniki take the top spot. The competition ranked students based on the number of correct answers combined with the fastest response times, showcasing the students' financial knowledge and quick thinking skills.
In the contest, the runner-up position was awarded to Class C3 from the 41st Gymnasium of Athens, while Class A3b from the 1st EPAL of Volos in the region of Magnesia secured third place. All three top classes performed exceptionally well, answering all questions correctly. This achievement highlights the growing emphasis on financial literacy among students in Greece and the importance of such initiatives in enhancing their understanding of money management and economic principles.
As winners, the students from Class A3 will have the opportunity to represent their school and Greece at the European competition in Brussels, scheduled for May 18 and 19, 2026. This opportunity not only rewards their hard work and dedication but also serves to inspire other students to engage in financial education, which will be vital in navigating the financial challenges of the future.
