In an electrifying final held at the Cyprus Swimming Pool of the Military Academy of Evelpidon, Olympiakos triumphed over their long-time rivals Panathinaikos with a narrow score of 13-12, marking their 27th Greek Men's Cup victory. The match was notable for its intense pace, with Panathinaikos initially taking charge and leading 3-1, 6-4, and 7-5 before Olympiakos managed to equalize and keep the score neck-and-neck throughout the contest.
The game showcased individual brilliance, especially from Olympiakos' captain, Dinos Genidounias, who played a pivotal role by scoring the decisive goal with only 19 seconds left, resulting in a final score of 13-12.
