Euroseas, a prominent player in the shipping industry, has announced the expansion of its newbuilding program with an order for two cutting-edge 2,800 TEU containerships. These vessels are specially designed to accommodate a significant number of refrigerated containers, featuring over 1,000 reefer plugs each. The construction will take place at Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China, and the ships are expected to adhere to stringent environmental standards, including the EEDI Phase 3 and IMO NOx Tier III regulations. The completion of these ships is projected for mid-2028, with an acquisition cost of approximately 46.35 million dollars per ship, which will be financed through a mix of debt and equity.
