The Estonian Olympic Committee is rewarding junior biathlete Jakob Kulbin and his coaches for their remarkable achievements at the Junior World Championships.
The Estonian Olympic Committee (EOK) has announced a reward for Jakob Kulbin, a 20-year-old biathlete who recently won two medals at the Junior World Championships in Arber, Germany. Kulbin secured a silver medal in the 12 km individual start race and a bronze in the 15 km standard distance, a significant achievement for a young athlete. He is set to receive a monetary reward of 5,000 euros for his outstanding performance, while his coaches Karel Viigipuu and Haavard Gutubö Bogetveit will each receive 1,250 euros for their guidance and support.
EOK Vice President Gerd Kanter, who is also an Olympic champion, praised Kulbin for his successful season, which included impressive results in the senior circuit as well. Kanter’s words of encouragement highlighted Kulbin’s potential in the sport and emphasized the importance of continued focus and precision in future competitions. The recognition comes in line with EOK's policy of awarding athletes based on their achievements in international competitions.
This recognition not only motivates the young athletes but also showcases the EOK's commitment to supporting sports development in Estonia. The medals won by Kulbin reflect a growing trend of success among Estonian athletes in international biathlon events, and such rewards can serve as inspiration for future generations of competitors in the sport.
