They will also be able to set requirements for the use of sound amplification equipment and sound insulation, ensuring better control over noise levels. Exceptions are noted for activities such as shooting training and hunting which may still generate significant sound but are deemed essential.

This move comes after years of discussions regarding noise control in entertainment areas in Latvia.
