Realtor Daniella publishes AI-edited images in ads

Daniella Isaksson, a realtor in Sweden, uses AI technology to edit property images, enhancing their visual appeal while ensuring transparency in advertising.

Daniella Isaksson, a realtor in Växjö, Sweden, has begun using AI tools to edit property images for advertisements. This technology allows her to change the colors of furniture, such as altering a black sofa to beige and gray cushions to green. Out of the eight real estate agencies that SVT spoke with, three are already utilizing AI for image editing in their listings. Daniella emphasizes the importance of transparency, stating that a watermark must be present on AI-generated images, and the nature of these images should be clearly disclosed in property descriptions.

The implementation of AI image editing has proven to be a practical solution for realtors like Daniella, as it is both cost-effective and efficient compared to traditional home staging methods. Rather than physically staging a property, which can be time-consuming and expensive, AI allows for quick alterations that can make a property more attractive to potential buyers. Daniella sends her property photos to an editing service that utilizes AI technology to enhance them according to her specifications, allowing sellers to present their properties effectively even if they cannot be physically present.

AI-edited images serve a particular niche in the real estate market, particularly for sellers who have properties that are rented out and may not have the time or resources to manage in-person visits. Daniella notes that providing two image options—one original and one AI-edited—gives potential buyers a clearer understanding of the property's appearance. While she recognizes the benefits of AI in her work, Daniella also stresses that it should not be misused, preserving the integrity of real estate advertising and ensuring that buyers are not misled.
