Seminar discusses the future of the Amazon in April in AM and seeks to involve students and rural communities
The Talento Amazônico Institute is organizing a seminar on April 9 to engage students and rural communities in discussions about the future of the Amazon.
The Talento Amazônico Institute (ITA) is set to host the 2nd Seminar titled 'Amazon, a Vision for the Future' on April 9 in Iranduba, part of the Metropolitan Region of Manaus. The seminar will occur between 1 PM and 5 PM at the auditorium of the Isaías Vasconcelos State School and is supported by the Rede Amazônica for promotional purposes. This initiative aims to foster dialogue on significant social and environmental issues relevant to the Amazon and its inhabitants, highlighting the importance of local engagement.
The event will address various critical topics including the preservation of the Amazon environment, the fight against violence targeting women, adolescents, and children, as well as advocating for the importance of fiscal education. By involving students and local communities, the seminar seeks to create a platform for discussion and action, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts in addressing these pressing issues.
Moreover, this seminar represents a broader movement to raise awareness and empower local populations in the Amazon, ensuring that their voices are included in discussions about the future of their environment and society. As the Amazon faces numerous challenges, including deforestation and social injustices, events like these are crucial in promoting education and community involvement, contributing to sustainable development goals in the region.
