On Wednesday, the Civil Police of Brazil conducted an operation named 'Operation Replica Zero' in Votorantim, São Paulo, aimed at trafficking counterfeit goods. The operation focused on three stores in the city center, where officials executed search and seizure warrants with assistance from the Municipal Guard. During this extensive raid, officials confiscated a variety of items marketed as original, including cell phone cases, sneakers, caps, headphones, football jerseys, and video game consoles, among other products.

The seized merchandise will be sent for forensic examination to confirm the nature of the counterfeit products. As part of the investigation, police have identified the owners of the stores involved. Authorities are now working to trace back the supply chain to uncover the producers and distributors responsible for the counterfeit goods circulating in the market, addressing a pressing issue of intellectual property crime that affects brands and consumers alike.
