The Florida government has announced alarming findings of elevated toxin levels in 16 infant formulas available on the local market, following a comprehensive analysis of 24 brands under the Healthy Florida First program. This initiative aligns with the federal Make America Healthy Again campaign aimed at improving consumer safety and confidence in food products, particularly those intended for children.

Officials emphasized the importance of these results, highlighting a key milestone in efforts to inform consumers and enhance oversight of food products. The state laboratories conducted tests for pesticides and four harmful heavy metals: mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and lead, all of which pose significant health risks, especially to infants.
