The price of oil has risen to around $110 – background of a new strike in Iran

Oil prices surged following reports of an airstrike on a facility at the world's largest gas field in Iran.

On Wednesday, oil prices experienced a sharp increase, driven by reports from Iranian media regarding an airstrike on a facility located at the South Pars gas field, the world's largest. The price of Brent crude oil reached $109.91 per barrel around 14:30 Finland time, marking an increase of over 5% from Tuesday's prices. Earlier in the day, futures prices had stabilized as Iraq commenced limited oil exports through Turkey, which had brought Brent crude down to around $103 per barrel.
