The Estonia men's handball team gathered in Tallinn on Monday to prepare for their European Championship qualifying match against the national team of Cyprus. As part of their preparation, they played the first of two friendly matches against Great Britain. The game began with Estonia showcasing a strong defense that nullified the British opponents, allowing for aggressive counterattacks, resulting in a 2-7 scoreline that forced Britain to call a timeout within the first 10 minutes. Though the game evened out with both teams making errors, Estonia maintained a steady lead, ending the first half at 17-12 after a penalty stop by goalkeeper Armis Priskus.
